In this writer’s opinion, romantic homemade dinners are far superior to a fancy night out. I’ve always thought of New Year’s Eve and Valentines Day as a sort of “amateur nights” (no offense to those who love and prefer nights out on those days) for the simple reason that it is so so crowded. Plus, often service tends to be less than stellar, and in some instances, a bit rushed.
On more than one occasion Mr. Cold Texan and I have left a nice place saying “we could have done that”. I am also a firm believer that the couple that does special things for one another, stays together. Don’t get me wrong, I love a night out at a nice place, but there is something really special and (sexy!) about a homemade romantic dinner, especially when made together.
So, without further adieu, I hope you get some wonderfully romantic ideas from the following list. When we do special meals we go all out complete with appetizers and dessert. Have fun putting together a beautiful homemade romantic dinner for 2 or even the kids too!
