Sheet pan dinners may be the biggest god send to getting a homemade meal on the table for busy (or lazy) nights. Thank you to whoever started getting these out there and making them a “thing”! This Sausage Sheet Pan Dinner takes only 20 minutes in the oven, 5 Ingredients to make (give or take), and easy to prep ahead for meal prep day. Perfection.
We moms would love the idea that everything comes together in the kitchen, magically, with full meals prepared at a leisurely, comfortable pace. Not to mention the house picked up, and the whole family sitting around the table having a nice dinner (I can’t even type that with a straight face! I had this image pop in my head, complete with music, of the 1950’s housewife PLUS woodland animals helping out. Perhaps it’s time to turn off the Disney??) We can all just agree that concept just isn’t realistic some most days. But, we do what we can, which is where this recipe comes in!

Make It Your Own
Recipes like this sausage sheet pan dinner are completely adaptable. On it’s own, it fits almost any diet, but you can swap things out to fit your specific needs. In our house we follow some combination of 21 day fix, 90/10 clean eating, and paleo. You make it work for you.
If you don’t particularly care for one of the veggies, swap it out for a favorite. On a budget? Buy whatever is on sale. No biggie. As a health coach, the BIGGEST #1 excuse I hear for why people don’t eat healthy as much as they need to is “because it’s too expensive”. It doesn’t have to be!
Sausage Sheet Pan Dinner Recipe
Ingredients:
- 4-6 Sausage links – however many it takes to feed your family (Any sausage works, but here I used a raw garden herb and beef sausage. Different kinds of sausage can make this dish just a bit different every time)
- 1 large zucchini, sliced at an angle
- 3-4 large carrots, peeled and sliced at an angle
- 1.5 cups fresh broccoli florets
- 1 Tb olive oil
- 1-2 tsp of your favorite seasoning blend (here I just used a combo of salt, pepper, and garlic powder)
Directions:
- Line a sheet pan with parchment paper. Preheat your oven to 400F/200C.
- In a large bowl, combine zucchini, carrots, broccoli, olive oil, and seasoning. Hand toss to make sure everything is evenly coated
- Arrange sausages and veggies on the sheet pan. Take care that it isn’t overcrowded. Use a second sheet pan if necessary.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes. Remove once the sausage is cooked through and firm to the touch, and veggies are slightly caramelized.
- Serve immediately. Great as is or you can serve over brown rice or quinoa.
